World Bee Day with Noah | #HugsForNoah

World Bee Day is a really special day for Noah.

Many of you already know that Noah absolutely loves gardening, and over the past year his passion for beekeeping has grown even bigger. From a very young age, he has been fascinated by bees and how important they are to our world. Watching his confidence and knowledge grow through his beekeeping journey has been incredible.

Last year, for his 13th birthday, Noah received his very first beehive, something he had dreamed about for such a long time. Since then, he has learnt so much about caring for bees, maintaining the hive, and even harvesting honey. He takes his role as a beekeeper very seriously and loves looking after his bees. As Noah says, “Bees do so much for us, so we should do everything we can to help them too.

Living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus means Noah faces daily challenges, but his determination never stops him from following his passions. Beekeeping has become something that brings him so much happiness, confidence, and purpose.

He also loved sitting amongst the lavender watching all of the bees it brought to the garden. What started as simple curiosity has slowly turned into creativity, excitement, and now the early ideas for what could one day become his own bee-themed business.

September 2024 – Noah Meets Adrian’s Bees

In September 2024 Noah was given a very special opportunity to visit Uncle Adrian and see his bees. Noah has been interested in bees and beehives for a long time, so he was incredibly excited about the visit.

Adrian was very kind and invited Noah along to learn more about them. To make things easier, and to keep Noah warm and safe from the bees flying around, Adrian brought pieces of the hive inside. This allowed Noah to take a really good look at the different parts of the hive and ask lots of questions without getting in the way of the bees outside.

It was lovely to see how fascinated Noah was by everything. He even had a taste of the honey directly from the hive!
